Tutorial: Star Medallion and Tiled Clones - Inkscape vector

I  think I've done enough instruction on HOW TO do tiled clones in my video tutorials so I won't repeat the step by step here.  What I do have is a really cool star shape that I made into a medallion for PnC and then I worked it into tiled clones for background papers for to print.  All right here in one place. 

Use these settings for creating your own star medallion.   Use these settings,  to create background papers from the medallion

TIPS

• This design is really a memory hog and will certainly slow Inkscape down to a crawl if you make too many rows and colums.  I found that 5x5 or 6x6 is plenty.  You can copy/paste the created tiles and align/distribute to align them, or you can just resize.  Play with it a bit.
• You can change the color of both the fill and the stroke.
• Do a screen capture to convert the .svg to a .jpg or .png for easier printing and resizing, save the original .svg to have available for color changes.
• To save printer ink print the tiles onto colored paper/card stock instead of printing a background color.
