MOM TAG - INKSCAPE AND GEL PENS

This is for my GURU Kay (firstcut, cleversomeday)

I have resisted Kay's paint bucket method for forever. She and I have discussed this again and again. I could never get the result she (and then scappydew) got using it. THEN last week Kay did a video and for the first time I saw the benefits and had an immediate use for it. Filling in fonts with gel pens.

I'd like to issue a challenge for everyone who has benefitted from Kay's undying support for others, her willingness to help, her unique style of "geekiness" and all the lists tutorials, tips and tricks we all benefit from.  I suggest you go see her video and try this yourself in her honor.

I've made both an .svg and an SCAL2 file so you can more closely see what I did.  Feel free to use it for the Challenge and do something pretty with it.

Resource
Inkscape Paint Bucket Basics - Kay's video
Font - Scrap Flower - you may have to have this for SCAL since it used to be you needed the font in SCAL for it to work, but I'm not sure.  Kay will tell me, for sure, she always has my back!
Pens - Cri-Kits
Graphic Layers in SCAL2 - Video tutorial on creating layers in SCAL to separate what you cut from what you pen.

I'll be happy to host anything you make for Kay, or maybe we will get her to post them on her Blog.  Whatever I'm just showing my appreciation for all she does for all of us.

PapaSue--sheer genius! Isn't Kay the greatest! I am still a newbie, but I find you and Kay everywhere and helping everyone. You are both excellent teachers amd are right there to help everyone! I hope to one day be able to do the same, loving SCAL a bunch more because of both of you. One day maybe Inkscape, too. Thanks so much
